Family-friendly waiting area & bathroom.

We do strive to provide our waiting customers a clean & relaxed environment away from the hustle & bustle of the service counter. Our waiting area is equipped with a coffee station & kids coloring table. We also completely renovated our guest bathroom and added a baby changing station in 2018.

Loaner vehicles & shuttle service.

We currently have 4 loaner vehicles for your convenience. If you don’t have a back up car, we are happy to lend you one of ours while you wait for your car to be finished. Please mention this to us when making your appointment and we can make arrangement for you to have one of our loaners.

If you need to be shuttled back home or to work, we can do this for you as well. If at all possible, please let us know in advance so we can have a staff member available to get you where you need to go.

Our service counter & showroom.

Our mission is to provide a comfortable environment where you can bring your questions & receive straight forward, no pressure answers. Our front counter staff is knowledgeable & friendly to help with a simple oil change to full accessory builds.

Our showrooms are also stocked with the vehicle accessories our customers seek most. From LEDs to recovery gear, stop in and shop our selection. If we don’t have it, our friendly staff will efficiently help you decide what is best for your vehicle & order it to our shop in a timely manner.

A fully equipped shop.

In our 9,500 sq ft, 8 bay facility each technician has his own assigned service bay(s) and is equipped with the best hand tools and diagnostic equipment in the industry. We maintain all of our equipment and update it whenever new or more efficient technology is available. Our computer software systems allow us to keep up with industry changes, find precise information on your vehicle and efficiently communicate with you.  We have ASE Master Technicians & all repairs are covered under a warranty.  

History of Fort Collins 4×4

The Fort Collins facility, originally built as the Volvo dealership, has been a 4×4 shop for a very long time. In 2013 the facility closed it’s doors under the previous owner & was vacant for a few months. Current owner, Ross Houk, relocated his family to Fort Collins in January 2014 to take over this location and John’s 4×4 in Boulder. At the time, the Fort Collins location was also called John’s 4×4 and we decided to change the name back to it’s original name by ressurecting the old vintage Fort Collins 4×4 sign that was hanging in the back of the shop. The name was officially changed back to Fort Collins 4×4 in the spring of 2014. It took some time, lots of hard work and getting fabulous employees for the stores to turn around. This shop has found it’s success almost entirely with word of mouth. Our long standing staff members have been such a key to our growth as they enjoy work, provide personal service and give honest feedback on what work needs to be done. Most people think we just do 4×4 accessories, but it has been women with minivans and compact cars who have spread the word around Fort Collins that we are just a great autoshop. It is our greatest hope that you will feel this too when you come check us out!

The Boulder location was sold in February 2019 to a new energetic owner who will take it to new heights. Ross is excited to fully invest in Fort Collins 4×4, our employees and our community. Exciting new changes will be coming to Fort Collins 4×4 in 2019.
